My official title is Detective Inspector, but all the guys in Scorpio division call me Buster, on account of my solve rate. My office is small, but I'm not complaining. My dad was a cop for forty years and he never even had an office.

Scorpio division solves cold cases. You'd be surprised how may crimes went unsolved under the old regime. I try not to get judgemental about it, but I can't help but marvel at how cops used to let their religious beliefs get in the way of their work. Take the case on my desk now, for instance. It happened before my dad's time. Hell, even before his dad's time. Robbery homicide. They only collected blood, fingerprints, and DNA. With that kind of sloppy police work, I have to wonder if they even cared if they solved it.

That's where I come in. A few hours in the old computer archives, and I had all the details I needed including the victim and suspects' birth time, and location in GPS coordinates. I do all my charts by hand. It takes longer, but it's worth the effort. Today's case took forty minutes to chart, but in the end we got results. How like a Sagitarius to kill a Virgo.
