Bi Lines Columns
These appeared in Siren Magazine from March to November of 2002. Bi Lines was originally written by Karol Steinhouse. After Karol's death in March of 2000, Krista Taves came on as Bi Lines columnist. I began writing Bi Lines in March of 2002. In January of 2003 Siren magazine eliminated columns from their format.
- Introduction: So who is this new Bi Lines person? This was my first Bi Lines column. I tried to provide a brief introduction and to give readers an idea of what they might find in future articles.
- In Defence of Anger. This column appeared in the "Rage" issue of Siren. I argued that anger could be energizing and productive.
- The Bisexual writer / the Writing bisexual. This appeared in the "Queer Talent" issue of Siren. I had recently been curator of a bisexuality-themed Clit Lit evening and a friend had just brought out a new bi 'zine, The Fence.
- Don't Mess With Bisexuals? This was for Siren's "Sex" issue. I respond to Dan Savage's suggestion that gays shouldn't date bisexuals.
- Transwomen. This was my last column for Siren. The theme was "Diversity." I chose to write about the role of transwomen in the bisexual community.
